Based on the advantages of coal resources, Mengtai invests in the construction of pithead power plants, implements on-site coal conversion, allows electric energy to be connected to the grid, and transmits to the power market, and transmits the waste heat generated by power generation to local cities for central heating of the city. Using ash slag to make cement, effectively reuse urban reclaimed water, and realize net utilization, zero emission and no pollution, which made positive contributions to the green development of the local coal industry and environmental protection of Erdos.

The wholly-owned power plants that have been completed and put into operation in Mengtai include Mengtai Beijiao 2*330MW thermal power plant and Mengtai 4*25MW thermal power plant, which now have a heating capacity of 20 million square meters. The power plant projects that have been completed and put into production with the Group’s equity participation in construction include Jungar Dalu 2*330MW coal gangue thermal power plant in cooperation with China Huadian Corporation, and State Power Dongsheng 2*330MW thermal power plant in cooperation with CHN ENERGY. The power plant project under construction includes Mengtai Beiyuan 2*660MW Thermal Power Plant.

In the next three to five years, the total installed capacity of Group’s wholly-owned and joint venture power plants will reach over 4,000,000 kilowatts.
